During the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak, my family and I did our part to flatten the curve by staying home.
I started to bake everyday to stay busy, keep myself in the present, and refrain from thinking too much about the current situation.
I shared the photos of my bakes and desserts on Facebook as way to entertain my friends, communicate with them, and to get a sign from them that they were doing well.
I baked everyday and posted photos and little snippets of information about each bake to my Facebook page. The feedback was positive and I was asked to create a website for future reference of the recipes. Also a few friends, who aren’t on Facebook, were curious to see what I did.
So I decided to create this Corona Baking blog. This blog is the accumulation of all my Facebook posts. I’m hoping that people will refer to this website for future baking ideas.
Also I can use this as a dessert menu of sorts. I can send my friends here to choose a dessert to bring over when we’re invited for dinner. 😆
One of the biggest questions I got from my Facebook friends was: “What are you doing with everything you are baking?!?!”
We are a family of three so this was a very good question. We couldn’t possibly eat it all. So I shared the desserts and breads with friends and neighbors, and I soon became everyone’s favorite. 😊
None of the recipes in this blog are my own. They are from cookbooks, websites, and YouTube channels. Where possible, I included recipes if I can find them on the Internet. If I couldn’t find a recipe on the Internet, then, out of courtesy to the cookbook author, I didn’t included it in this blog.
